About our school
Welcome to Ceduna Area School, a vibrant educational community located on the Far West Coast of South Australia. Our school proudly serves a diverse student body, drawing from a wide geographic area and encompassing a rich tapestry of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. 43% of our current student body identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
Ceduna Area School caters to students from reception through to year 12. Due to our geographical isolation, many of our students make the daily journey by bus from the broader district.
We offer a range of external specialist programs, including Certificate II: Resource and Infrastructure Management, SAASTA, and Clontarf to support our students in their academic and personal growth. For those interested in specialist subjects not available at our school, local delivery options are accessible for students in years 11 and 12.
Our students have ample opportunities to engage in and represent our school in various local, regional, and state sporting events; highlighting our commitment to fostering a well-rounded educational experience.
Student voice is a cornerstone of our school community, with an active R-12 Student Representative Council ensuring that our students are heard and involved in shaping their school.
Students in Years 3 and above benefit from individual laptops, supported by our high-level ICT infrastructure and modern classrooms designed to enhance teaching and learning.
