Governing council
The Ceduna Area School Governing Council is your elected parent and community voice. It works in partnership with staff at the school to help set and monitor the broad direction of the school, the schools vision and policies. Being a member of the Governing Council is one of the best ways of finding out what is happening at school, connecting with and providing guidance on the many opportunities offered to your children. The group meet twice a term to consider agenda items. Meetings are held on Mondays at 5pm in weeks 4 and 9 of each term.
Governing Councillors work with the Site Leader to involve the local community, develop local policies and set broad directions and vision for the site. We also approve and monitor the site budget and the site improvement plan. Buses and Uniform are also one of the items that Governing Council can provide direction on.
The Ceduna Area School Governing Council constitution allows for representation from up to 9 parents, 2 SRC members and 2 community members who can be appointed by the Council. Members are elected for a 2 year term at the AGM which is always held in Term 1 of the school year.
